Quote for the day:

Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes. Art is knowing which ones to keep.

- Scott Adams, The Dilbert Principle

In the news:

"Washington Mutual Inc., the largest U.S. savings and loan, rallied as much as 19 percent in New York trading as a group led by private-equity firm TPG Inc. considers a $5 billion investment in the Seattle-based company."

Martin Feldstein, president of NBER which deterimines the official Recession start and finish dates, said "I think that December/January was the peak and that we have been sliding into recession ever since then." Feldstein thinks that the recession could last about twice as long as the last two recessions which lasted 8 months.
