Ford Motor warned that it no longer expects to return to profitability in 2009 and will cut production through the rest of this year. Ford has lost $15 billion over the last two years.
The Paris-based International Energy Agency (IEA) will issue a downward revision in its oil-supply forecast this November. The IEA previously forecast that fuel supply would keep pace with demand rising to 116 million barrels a day by 2030, up from around 87 million barrels a day currently. However, they are now concerned that supply will struggle to surpass 100 million barrels a day over the next two decades.
